What do you do at Strategic Edge?
I help bring a creative edge to the marketing strategies developed at SEP. Whether it be through loyalty program design, ad campaigns, event promotions, or large corporate programs, I’m responsible for wrapping creative design and copywriting around strategies to make them visible and memorable for audiences.
How did you get to this point?
I’ve been a designer and writer for almost 30 years. I graduated from the UW with a degree in communications back in 1988. I started my career in agencies, but I have also worked on the client side, so I know how important it is to forge strong marketing vendor/client relationships. I operated my own agency for 15 years, specializing in marketing and branding design for aesthetic medical practices.
What about when you’re not at work?
I love to stay active—playing tennis, hiking, running, doing yoga, and swimming. For someone who enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle, it’s such a treat to live in the Pacific Northwest! I also love to cook, read, and travel. I have a travel bucket list that is a MILE long. At the top of the list are: Nepal, Morocco, Australia.
