Last week, the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) released its 2013 statistics, which serve as the barometer of the health and vitality of the industry. It confirmed the anecdotal evidence that we see and hear from our clients—that plastic surgery continues to be on the rise, with breast augmentation, eyelid surgery, and facelifts leading the way. As the FDA approved two more shaped silicone implants last year, breast augmentation continues to top the chart of surgical procedures, with more than 290,000 procedures last year.

The overall three percent growth is encouraging, especially building on the three previous years of growth.
